This is a family favourite! Goes perfect with rasam, sambar, curd rice and not to mention any variety rice. And guess what I love it as they remind me of Golis that we used to play with as children. A simple recipe you can try. Make it and pop it!

Uralai Kizhangu Varuval - Baby Potatoes fry |
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg boiled and peeled baby potatoes
- 2 medium size onions - finely chopped
- 2 medium size tomatoes - finely choppes
- 6 - 7 crushed garlic pods
- 6- 7 curry leaves
- 1 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
- 1 1/2 - chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 11/2 cup water
- 3 - 4 tbsp Oil
- salt as needed
- chopped coriander leaves
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds and wait it it splutters.
- Saute onion in the pan. Add the curry leaves and crushed garlic.
- Keep stirring till golden brown.
- Now add the tomatoes, saute till the raw smell goes away.
- Add the baby potatoes and mix well.
- Sprinkle the dry ingredients and add water. Mix well till well combined.
- Close the pan with a lid for 10 - 15 minutes. You will see a thick gravy coming along.
- Then you will see the Goli Uralai Kizhangu Varuval is done!
